OTTAWA ROCK ART (ORA) will host a three day OTTAWA BAWI FESTIVAL, 3rd to 5th August 2013,  with  twelve (12)  artists from Canada, USA, Italy, France, Germany and Brazil. The festival will be held at Remic Rapids Park, Ottawa, and is co-sponsored by the National Capital Commission, and the City of Ottawa.

Additional festival activities will include workshops in the art of balance, as well as performances from various artists in dance, theater, and music.

A fundraising drive will be sponsored by ORA, which will provide funding exclusively to the participants in the festival, for food, lodging, and local travel. There will be no vending provisions upon site to the public per agreement with authorities and regulations.

ORA, the host, is a non for profit corporation, therefore, receipts to contributors can not provided, therefore photographs of the sculptures and greeting cards will be a gift to all contributors. Also, there will be signage upon site which will provide the names of the individuals and businesses supporting this event.

This is the second year of OTTAWA BAWI, and it is planned to continue to provide the festival each year until 2017, when it will be included in the festivities celebrating Confederation’s 150th Anniversary.
