The call is going out to Rock Balance Practitioners, their friends, families and other artists or interested parties to attend a gathering. For week of Oct 4 to October 11, we will gather in retreat at Fair Haven Beach State Park on the shores of Lake Ontario in Fair Haven, New York. The location features an abundance of what Native Americans refer to as their Grandfathers-Stones.
Not only will we explore, experiment, and honor the Spiritual Realm surrounding balancing rocks with only our hands, and inner connections with the stones, but much time to gain rest, relaxation and renewal will be available. Besides handling stones we will share made together meals, personal stories and works, look at wood fires, share periods of silence, and enjoy walks along a gorgeous shore line with an incredible array of our ancestors. There are also good biking trails for those hardy and adventuresome enough to go about by that means.
Along with the wonderful selection of stones to handle, this Park offers a good deal on cottage rentals. I rented the same cottage again for the week of Oct 4-11. 2013. This wonderful full service cottage is large enough to host a sizable gathering and offers accommodations for twelve people in six bedrooms. Last year we never filled the house, as some folks choose their own accommodations in cabins, camper vehicles and nearby motels.
But for gathering purposes this cottage would easily host a party of forty plus folks. The focus of this retreat is on the spiritual nature of our practice. As such, it will not be promoted nor will sponsors or monies be sought to support it. But I believe that Way will open so that the folks who are called to attend will make their journey here and join with others who would like to gather and honor the Spiritual element that we find as we conduct this practice.
Slowly invites will go out and the gathering will commence.
